My fiftieth post! I finally received the first of two orderes I have placed at Taobao. I took part in a big group order, and the lade who placed the order sent me my share. This doesn't have any lolita clothes though, just a long petticoat...
Musta, pitkä alushame. Alunperin ilmeisesti fiftarityyliin tarkoitettu, mutta kerrostan tämän lolitaan. Melkein kaikki hameeni tulevat polven yli niin kunnon pitkä alushame tuli tarpeeseen! A-linjaisiin hameisiin sopii tällaisenaan, jos haluan puffua jo lanteille niin pistän kaveriksi toisenkin alushameen. Monet hameeni ovat paksuista kankaista kuten sametista, joten olen tottunut kerrostamaan alushameita ^^' Tämän kagnas on aika kovaa eli isot rypyt näkyvät hameen läpi pullistumina, täytyy joko silittää tätä vähän tai laittaa toinen alushame tämän päälle.
A long, black petticoat. I think this is originally ment for 50's fashion, but I'll layer this into lolita. Almost all of my skirts come over my knee so a proper long petticoat was sorely needed! For A-line skirts it's good as it is, but if I want the skirt to have poof at my hips as well, I'll add another petticoat. Many of my skirts are made from heavier fabrics like velvet, so I'm used to layering my pettis ^^' The fabric is quite rigid so the biggest wrinkles are visible in the skirt, so I'll have to smooth this out or wear another petti over it.
Vannealushame. Tämän tilasin aristomekon kaveriksi.

Aristomekko! Olen jo pitkään himoinnut kunnon täyspitkää mekkoa, mutta en ole sellaista jaksanut (lue: osannut) tehdä tai raaskinut ostaa. Tämän sain halvalla, joten päätin koittaa. Jouduin kyllä vähän pettymään, mekko on hieman iso ja erilainen kuin kuvissa, mikä oli kyllä vähän odotettavissakin kun hintaa katsoo. Kai tätä voi joissain coneissa käyttää, mutten saanut tästä sitä loisteliasta aristomekkoa mitä toivoin.
Aristocrat dress! I've wanted a proper floor-lenght dress for a long time, but haven't had the energy or skill to make one and didn't want to spend much money to buy one. This was cheap, so I decided to give it a go. I have to say I'm a bit dissapointed, the dress is slightly big and different from the stock photos - which, by the low price, I guess I kind of expected. I think I can wear it at some conventions, but I didn't get the luxurois dress i was hoping for.
Peruukki, myyntikuvassa ensimmäinen ja lyhyin. Haluan lisää classic lolitaan sopivia juttuja, mutta tämä liila tukka ei ihan ole se paras tyyli classiciin... Ostin taas halvan, koska en tiedä kuinka paljon tällaista tulee ihan oikeasti käytettyä. Muut peruukkini ovat olleet cosseja / miittejä varten, en ole koskaan käynyt ihan vain kaupassa peruukki päässä. Osittain varmaan siksi, että mikään peruukeistani (paitsi ehkä lyhyt musta) ei ole ollut luonnollisen näköinen. Siksi valitsin tämän ruskean, katsoo kuinka paljon tätä tulee käytettyä, että kannattaako ostaa enemmän ja parempilaatuisia. Tämä on kyllä yllättävän hyvälaatuinen, kuvia varten vain harjasin hellästi.
A wig, in the stock photo it's the first and shortest. I want more classic lolita items, but this purple hair of mine isn't quite the best style for classic... So again I went for the cheap option, because I don't know how much I'll really use this. My other wigs have been for cosplay / meet-ups, I've never just went to the grocery store wearing a wig. One reason for that probably is that none of my wigs (except maybe the short black one) look natural. That's why I chose this brown one, we'll see how much I'll actually use this one, is it wise to buy more expensive and better quality ones. This is surprisingly good one, for the picture I just brushed it gently.
EMS postikulut ja tullimaksut lisäävät aina ikävästi koko tilauksen loppusummaa, välillä jopa kaksinkertaistavat sen :( Toisen tilauksen pitäisi tulla Suomeen ihan lähipäivinä, siitä lisää sitten myöhemmin!
EMS postal cost and customs fee regrettably always add to the total cost of the order, often even make it cost twice as much :( My other order should arrive in Finland any day now, I'll info more about it later!
